Thresher has announced around 200 of its underperforming stores are up for sale through Christie & Co.
The move forms part of a three-year business plan, which will be unveiled in March.
Christie & Co's website has details of the leaseholds up for grabs, with valuations starting at just 5,000 and rising to around 100,000.
The off-licences up for sale, out of an estate of around 1,800 outlets, are said to under-performing stores.
In October 2007 Thresher asked Christie & Co to offload 45 stores, with the off-licence chain looking for quick sales.
Thresher was acquired by Vision Capital last summer and the current management has been undertaking a review of the business with the aim of launching a three-year plan for its Threshers, Wine Rack, Thresher Local and Haddows off-licences.
