Off-Piste Wines reshuffles management team

Published:  07 December, 2017

Most Wanted producer Off-Piste Wines has reshuffled its management team as part of a new growth strategy.

Joint MDs Paul Letheren and Ant Fairbank have both stepped up to CEO roles with immediate effect, but would retain their “customer relationships”, said the business.

At the same time, current finance director Andy Talbot has been promoted to MD, a role he will hold in addition to his current position, while Mark Pettit has been promoted from national account manager to sales director.

Two new roles have been created as part of the reshuffle – commercial manager, which has been taken on by Katie Thompson who joins from Conviviality-owned PLB, and marketing manager, which will be held by Rachel Osbourne, previously with Rude Wines.

Thompson had been brought on board to work with the sales team on customer facing issues, while Osborne would be focused on developing the activation and communication of core brands, including Most Wanted, PinotPinot, Makers & Co and The Duke.

In addition, Neil Maughan, previously with Greencroft, will join in January as technical manager working alongside supply and sourcing director Clem Yates MW with responsibility for wine quality.

The significant reshuffle had been made in preparation for “further development and to ensure business momentum continues”, said Talbot, adding it was an “incredible exciting” time for Off-Piste.

“We achieved our five-year growth plan in three years and sales of our products are developing rapidly in the UK and internationally - we have secured the additional first-class people we need to kick on from here,” he said.

The news follows Off-Piste achieving British Retail Consurtium accreditation under its Global Standard for Agents and Brokers– a “very important” landmark in the company’s strategy, added Talbot.
