Annessa Imports acquires Fiandaca
Annessa Imports has acquired Italian wine importer and distributor Fiandaca for an undisclosed sum.
The acquisition, finalised earlier this month, would “enhance and strengthen” Annessa’s Italian food and drink offering, while it would make Alfie Fiandaca “a lot stronger in the marketplace”, said the companies.
As part of the deal, Fiandaca will “continue as it is” but under the roof of Annessa, and with the financial backing to go with it, said joint director John Annessa, adding the decision to acquire Fiandaca was an easy one for the directors.
"Fiandaca has been a very well respected Italian wine importer and distributor for many years. Recently, they have seen a tremendous growth following the appointment of managing director Fabio Arcari in 2016,” he said.
Arcari will be joining the team at Annessa alongside Alfie Fiandaca who will take up an ambassadorial role.
