ProWein 2018 has revealed a line of newcomers set to join the European event from across the globe.
New exhibitors to the premium wine and spirits show include a joint stand from the Japanese government themed around sake, as well as a large stand featuring various Palinka fruit brandies from Hungary.
The organic wine area in Hall 13 will be bigger this year and boast a range of associations from Germany, Italy and France as well as numerous individual exhibitors from around the world.
This year, exhibitors from Greece will be rehoused alongside Austria and the ProWein Tasting Area by Mundus Vini in Hall 17.
Hall 9 will boast an extended line-up with all overseas exhibitors housed there. These will include countries such as Australia, Argentina, Chile, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa and the USA.
The event is also turning the spotlight on craft for 2018 with the special show called “same but different”, with 50 exhibitors showcasing their craft product, including spirits, beers and cider.
In excess of 500 events will be taking place during ProWein 2018, including tastings at the ProWein Forum in Halls 10 and 13 and the Tasting Zone organised by the international wine award Mundus Vini.
Themed highlights also include the Champagne Lounge boasting 40 Champagne cellars. There is also the special Packaging & Design show focusing on the current trends and developments in packaging.
The international spirits range at ProWein, which will be held in Dusseldorf from 18 to 20 March next year, will remain in Hall 12.
More than 6,600 exhibitors are expected to attend ProWein 2018.
