Italian sparkling wine-on-tap brand Frizzenti is building a national sales team with the addition of two sales executives.
It has appointed Paul Lawson, from Green King and Marstons, and Brandy Howd as brand ambassadors, covering the South West, and London and South East respectively. The company is still looking for an ambassador to cover the Midlands region, which will take the team to four.
Managing director George Workman said the company, which was set up in 2009, had seen record sales in 2014 with volume sales double those of 2013. "We have been lucky enough to tap into a market sector that is growing fast, as people seek a light sparkling drink that doesn't just have to be saved for special occasions," he said
The company primarily supplies 20L kegged sparkling wines-on-tap and its bottled prosecco brand to on-trade outlets. It has also added three still wines - Merlot Rosé, Cabernet Merlot and Pinot Grigio - to its range of kegged products and plans to add new European wines to the range.
It recently launched a modular bar model that can be fitted into different configurations in order to cate at different venues. It is launching its first Fizz Bar! this autumn at the Grand Central Birmingham development, where it will be accessible from Birmingham New Street. The company already has a presence at the food travel SPP Group's Barzetti restaurant at St Pancras.
The company, already operates mobile bars from its vintage Citroen HY vans at events, and introduced a new "Cocktails & Fizz!" bar at the Grand National in Aintree earlier this month.
