Green Seed Group takes over from Food from Britain

Published:  07 July, 2009

A new business has sprung from the ashes of the defunct Food from Britain, which closed its doors earlier this year after 18 years.

The Green Seed Group takes over FFB's mantle to help food and drink manufacturers around the world develop overseas trade.

Headed by David Wilson, who previously ran the Food from Britain North American operation, The Green Seed Group has nine offices in Europe, one in North America and a new office in Australia.

Wilson said: "The launch of Green Seed is a very exciting evolution. The internationality and flexibility of the group has opened up a wealth of opportunity that was not previously accessible under the FFB flag.

"Although British food and drink businesses will remain a key focus for us, we are looking forward to working with large and medium sized food and drink companies from around the world who simply have a common aim - to develop business outside their home markets."

The UK arm of the business will be run by Simon Waring, who was previously the International Management Director at Food from Britain.
