Hallgarten Druitt has announced its new commercial director, Andrew Bewes.
Bewes who will take up the position on May 5, has a traditional wine trade background dating from the 1980s.
Starting at Deinhard he spent 12 years with Berkmann Wine Cellars where he became sales and marketing director.
For the last four years he has been commercial director at Liberty Wines.
John Cunynghame, managing director of Hallgarten Druitt said: " Andrew's appointment is a testament both to our confidence in the future and to our determination to continue to develop our business.
"He brings a wealth of experience to us and will, I'm sure, prove an excellent addition to our team."
Bewes said: "I'm very excited at this opportunity to join Hallgarten Druitt.
"They have a very fine portfolio and I', impressed with their ideas and their plans."
Hallgarten Druitt are based in Luton and employ 120 people and distributes to all parts of the trade.
Among its agency producers are Moutard (Champagne), Frescobaldi (Tuscany) and Chiarlo (Piedmont).
