New Classification of Distinguished Australian Wine lists 89 of the most sought after wines
Langton's new Classification of Distinguished Australian Wine, has listed 89 of the most consistently sought after Australian wines. Andrew Caillard MW, Langton's Sydney director describes the four classifications as: Exceptional (seven wines): The most highly sought after and prized; Outstanding (24): "Super seconds" - benchmark quality wines with a strong following; Excellent (29): High-performing wines with slightly lower values and market strength; Distinguished (29): secondary market staples or emerging classics. Exceptionals are: Penfolds Bin 95 Grange Shiraz and Bin 707 Cabernet Sauvignon, South Australia; Henschke "Hill of Grace" Shiraz, Keyneton; Mount Mary Quintet Cabernets, Yarra Valley; Leeuwin Estate "Art Series" Chardonnay, Margaret River; Moss Wood Cabernet Sauvignon, Margaret River and Wendouree Shiraz, Clare
