Blavod Extreme Spirits plc is claiming an increase of approximately 137%' in case sales from July to September on a year-on-year basis, according to its trading update for the six-month interim period to 30 September.

In the UK, total case sales for the period increased by more than 55%, led by Blavod Black Vodka, with increases in excess of 20% in both the on- and off-trades, while case sales into international markets grew by more than 87%.

Case sales in the US market were up 284%, driven by Players Extreme having increased 210% year on year and Blavod Black Vodka increasing 60% for the period.

Blavod CEO Jeff Hopmayer said: I continue to be extremely encouraged by our trading data, especially as we move into the important back-half selling season, which is traditionally the best trading period for the industry.'

The company will issue full six-month interim results by the end of November.
