FRENCH FIGHT BACK

Exports to UK increased by 12%

Export figures for January to April, released by French Customs, show that exports to the UK have increased by 12% in value and volume, compared to the same period last year. According to Sopexa, Beaujolais, Burgundy, Vin de Pays and Ctes-du-Rhne registered increases of 31%, 42%, 49% and 24% in value respectively. AC Nielsen figures for the on-trade show increases of 7% for the year to May, putting the French market share back up to 42%.
