Boutique New Zealand winery Kusuda Wines has appointed Fields, Morris & Verdin to distribute its wines to the UK on-trade.
Based in Martinborough, Kusuda produces limited quantities of highly regarded Pinot Noir and Syrah wines each year.
It was founded by Japanese winemaker Hiro Kusuda in 2001. Kusuda trained first as a lawyer, but his love of wine led him to learn German and to study Oenology and Viticulture at Geisenheim University.
Damian Carrington, managing director at FMV, said: "We are absolutely thrilled to be able to help Hiro grow the distribution of his wines in the UK on trade.
"The quantities available to the UK are tiny which brings its own challenges, but we are genuinely excited about the opportunity to place these precious wines in some of the finest restaurants around the country."
The latest vintages from Kusuda Wines are the 2015 Pinot Noir and 2014 Syrah. They will will be available through Fields, Morris & Verdin from early April 2017.
Fields, Morris & Verdin is the agency and wholesale division of Berry Bros & Rudd.
