A London café is selling a Speyside single malt whisky at 1p a shot this week.
The Black Penny on Great Queen Street in Covent Garden is offering its customers a shot of Spey whisky from the Speyside Distillery between 8:00am and 10:00am every day this week.
Customers are limited to one shot per day, and the whisky must be added to the coffee, not drunk neat.
The offer ends on Friday 22 January.
The Speyside Distillery was founded in the 1950s by George Christie, but production did not start until 1990.
It was bought by the Harvey family in 2012 andJohn Harvey McDonough, its chief executive, is part of the family's eleventh generation in the whisky trade.
The Black Penny previously offered lunches for 1p on the day it launched in May 2015.
It also runs occasional informal talks in its lower level Seminar Pit.
Previous talks included Jamie Berger of Soho restaurant and whiskey bar, Pitt Cue Co, on the history of cocktails, which included an exploration of lesser known spirits such as mezcal and rye whiskey.
