Enjoy Life By The Glass wins exclusive new contract

Single-serve wine brand Enjoy Life By The Glass (ELBTG) has been chosen as the exclusive wine provider by the 13,000-seater SSE Hydro venue in Glasgow.

SSE Hydro is ELBTG's largest client to date. The brand has previously won the exclusive contract to provide wine at the Country to Country Music Festival at London's O2 in March this year.

Enjoy Life By The Glass's current offer is based around its House range of French wines.

The wine is sourced from the Val d'Orbieu-Uccoar co-operative and comprises a Merlot, a Chardonnay, a Sauvignon Blanc, and a Syrah Rosé.

It will launch a second sub-brand, Primo Vino, soon. Primo Vino will provide consumers with a choice of Italian wine. The red will be a Primitivo and the white a Pinot Grigio. The choice of rosé has yet to be confirmed.

A third brand, Vin au Verre, is already in the planning stages.

Each serve contains 187ml, which is exactly a quarter of a 75cl bottle.

SSE previously piloted the product at its Odyssey arena in Belfast. Rowly Gallagher, the venue's head of food and beverage, said: "We wanted to improve the overall consumer experience of our wine sales by providing a premium quality choice in a convenient way. Enjoy Life By The Glass is much quicker to serve and sell, so it has the added benefit of helping keep queues down at the Bar as well as keeping our customers happy."

The price of each serve varies according to the venue.
