Luxardo Original Sambuca has won a double gold medal in the San Francisco World Spirits Competition (SFWSC) 2011.
Luxardo Original Sambuca has won a double gold medal in the San Francisco World Spirits Competition (SFWSC) 2011.
Only three double golds were awarded in the Best Herbal / Botanical Liqueurs category, and no other sambucas won double gold or gold medal.
Luxardo also won silver medals for Luxardo Maraschino and Luxardo Amaretto.
The SFWSC has been established for 11 years and judging is based on a blind, consensual procedure to ensure competitive integrity.
This year a record number of entries, 1106 products from 61 countries, were evaluated by 33 judges including buyers, bartenders and mixologists.
