Blossom Hill is pushing the premium envelope with a new range of blended wines, as well as revamping its existing varietals selection.

The Vineyard Collection of premium blended wines will be launched at this year's Annual Californian Wine Tasting Event on March 22, alongside the new-look Winemakers Reserve.
The Vineyard Collection has an "aromatic and delicate white blend" and an "aromatic and smooth red blend". The launch will be supported by a through-th-line autumn marketing campaign.

The new wines, which have been developed by Blossom Hill winemaker, Carol Thorup, will be on sale from April.

The current varietals range is being rebadged as Winemakers Reserve, and has been consolidated to focus on bestselling consumer varietals, including Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as White Zinfandel, White Grenache and Sparkling White Zinfandel wines.

Kate Drew, Blossom Hill's innovation manager, said: "We are pleased to be launching the new Vineyard Collection and Winemakers Reserve at this year's Annual Californian Wine Tasting. As the number one wine brand in the UK we develop all our new wines to meet different consumer requirements and believe that these two launches offer retailers and licensees compelling propositions that compliment each other to help drive wine sales.

"With the new packs having a higher price and quality perception, this provides retailers and licensees with the opportunity to supply their consumers with a more premium wine offering from the Blossom Hill brand."
