Wines of Germany to launch 3rd Sommelier Spring Class
Wines of Germany is inviting the UK's best sommeliers to attend its third Sommelier Spring Class trip to Germany.
The Sommelier Spring Class is designed to enhance sommeliers' knowledge of German wine and to give them the opportunity to experience the various styles of Riesling, Spätburgunder, Weißburgunder and Grauburgunder from the different wine growing regions in Germany.
The trip will take place from April 15 -19, and will include a visit to the annual VDP trade fair, the Mainzer Weinbörse, where sommeliers will have the chance to taste the 2010 vintage for the first time.
Also included are two days of winery visits, a day of seminars at the Geisenheim University and an invitation to the VDP celebration ball.
