Galvin La Chapelle team to represent UK in Wines of Roussillon European final

Sommelier and pastry chef team, Andrea Briccarello and Daniel Fancett are to represent the UK at the Wines of Roussillon Dessert Trophy European Final.

The two-man team from London's Galvin La Chapelle, will compete for the European gastronomic crown at the biennial Rencontres Méditerranéennes du Muscat wine fair, January 24.

The competition final (won in 2008 by UK team Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons) will see seven European countries battle it out to create the ultimate citrus dessert and Roussillon Vin Doux Naturel pairing.

The purpose of the trade only event is to promote wines produced in the Mediterranean region, made from the Muscat grape, as well as to provide a unique showcase of Roussillon's finest Vin Doux Naturels to taste.
