Beam Global sells Cockburn's Port to Symington

Beam Global is selling Cockburn's Port to Symington Family Estates.

The transaction is expected to be finalised by the end of 2010, at which time responsibility for the distribution of Cockburn's Port in the UK will pass from Maxxium UK to John E Fells and Sons.

Maxxium UK managing director Huw Pennell says: "We are proud of the work we have carried out on Cockburn's in the UK and we wish Symington Family Estates every success for their continued development of Cockburn's, which is a great strategic fit for their portfolio."

Symington Family Estates already owns Graham's, Dow's, Warre's, Quinta do Vesuvio and Smith Woodhouse ports.
