French trade body, FranceAgriMer has announced a partnership with London's Royal Court Theatre as part of its 2010 French Quality Wines UK campaign.
The core of the partnership will be the sponsorship of the theatre's £10 monday nights, to be launched on August 23, until the end of the year.
Its aim is to offer great value theatre, with all tickets for performances in both theatre spaces costing £10, which will create a perfect positioning for French wines.
The sponsorship also includes a new exclusive French wine menu which has been selected and supplied by Bibendum and will promote the country's diversity with 29 different styles.
Justin Frisby, prestige trade sales, Bibendum, said: "One of the great aspects of a French list is the ability to showcase some of the lesser known wines which sadly tend to get left off international wine lists. The Picpoul de Pinet for example was a big hit in the preliminary tastings. Furthermore French wines have a real affinity with food so it's great to know that they not only taste great on their own, but will enhance the delicious food served in the cafe."
