Jacquesson buys its UK distribution
Dizy Champagne House takes control
Mayfair Cellars has announced that Champagne Jacquesson, the family-owned Champagne House with its headquarters in Dizy, has acquired a controlling interest in the company. For the last seven years, Mayfair has held the Jacquesson agency both in the UK and also for the markets of Hong Kong, Malaysia and the Philippines through its subsidiary Mayfair Cellars (Hong Kong) Ltd. "The combination of Jacquesson's strong links within the wine industry (the company represents a number of leading quality producers from Spain, Italy, Austria and Australia in the French market) and the distribution strengths of Mayfair Cellars gives us a great platform both here and in the Far East," said Michael Mackenzie, chairman of Mayfair Cellars.
