US spirits firm Drinks Americas has completed the acquisition of the Olifant vodka brand.
The Dutch-made brand is sold nationally in the US market and has high recognition for its elephant label.
Drinks Americas president and chief executive officer J Patrick Kenny said: "Olifant immediately adds $1.5 million in business. We believe the brand has the potential in a short period of time to generate revenue many times that number."
The acquisition from spirits industry veteran Jack McKenzie is in a combination of cash and Drinks Americas stock. McKenzie is joining the Drinks Americas sales and management team.
Kenny added: "The Olifant elephant is iconic by any definition and something we can think we can have a lot of fun with.
"Not only do we think everyone will like the vodka, but who doesn't like elephants?"
Drinks Americas is best known as the supplier of celebrity drinks brands Trump vodka, Dr Dre Coganc, Willie Nelson's Old Whiskey River Bourbon and Paul Newman fruit juices and waters.
