Courvoisier launches TV series to champion British food

Two members of Beam Global UK's exclusive online members club, Courvoisier The Future 500, are collaborating in a joint venture to produce six web TV shows about British food.

Two members of Beam Global UK's exclusive online members club, Courvoisier The Future 500, are collaborating in a joint venture to produce six web TV shows about British food.

Aiden Byrne, double-Michelin starred head chef at The Dorchester has teamed up with fellow Courvoisier The Future 500 member and co-founder of webTV company pod3.tv, Neil Fairbrother to produce the series, which they say aim to "shatter the myth" that British food has to be heavy and old-fashioned.

Aiden Byrne commented: "My aim has always been to shatter the myth that British food has to be heavy and old-fashioned and to highlight the fact that we have some of the finest suppliers and produce in the world."

Added Beam Global UK brand manager for Courvoisier, Claire Richards: "This collaboration epitomises what the network was set up to do - allow forward-thinking, like-minded people from different industries to help each other to move their careers forward. Through exclusive offers, events and mentoring, Courvoisier is encouraging all members to realise their greatness and fulfil their potential."

The Courvoisier The Future 500 club recruits members from what it believes to be the country's top achievers across categories including food, drink, media, sport and public life. It was launched in November 2007 and is being supported by high-profile advertising and consumer PR. More members will be recruited onto the network this year, have an opportunity to network and raise their profile in a listing in The Observer newspaper.
