London fair takes organic theme

Published:  23 July, 2008

The focus for the 2008 London International Wine Fair Top 100 tasting will be organic and biodynamic wines.

The Top 100 will be chosen by a panel including Beverley Blanning MW, Sally Easton MW, Rosemary George MW, Jamie Goode and Max Allen.

The LIWF announced it had chosen organic and bio wines in response to rapid growth in this category.

James Murray, exhibition director at Brintex, organisers for the LIWF, said: "Building on the success of last year's tasting, we are delighted to turn our attention to another key trend in the wine trade. "

The tasting will include organic and biodynamic wines at different price-points, representing both the Old and New world.

The Top 100 tasting will be located at the east end of the South Hall, throughout the 2008 Fair, which takes place from May 20-22 2008.
