KWV sells German subsidiary Eggers & Franke

KWV, the South African wine and brandy producer, has sold its German subsidiary company Eggers & Franke.
Racke GmbH, a German firm which KWV has been working closely with, completed the purchase of Eggers & Franke on January 17.
KWV's chief executive Thys Loubser has been implementing a new company strategy over the last 12 months with a fresh management team and a new US distribution agreement.
The new entity will be known as Racke/Eggers & Franke and will allow KWV to grow its German business.
Eggers & Franke will offer an expanded product and distribution base in Germany.
