Published:  23 July, 2008

American Airlines will be the first airline to introduce a specific wine-related channel to its in-flight radio system.

Available from February 2008 to business and first class passengers, GrapeRadio programmes will range in length from 30 to 60 minutes.

The show's content will include interviews and top news stories from wine producing regions across the globe.

Jay Selman, GrapeRadio producer, said: "We couldn't be more excited about our partnership with American Airlines.

"The field of wine is fertile ground for savvy, curious listeners. There's still plenty yet to learn and explore."

Frederick Paniotis of Veuve Clicquot is among the interviewees on the current list of GrapeRadio broadcasts.
