The UK's number 3 French brand, French Connection, which sold almost 350,000 cases in 2007 is set to expand its range of wines beyond the Languedoc.
The range, created for the UK market by importer Bottle Green, has produced wines from southern France only but plans to launch Burgundy and Beaujolais wines in March.
A spokeswoman for Bottle Green, added: 'We are looking to include other regions of France too and are trying their wines."
French Connection will also be available in TetraPak for the first time in Asda from February.
In 2007 French Connection increased its volumes by 65% to 348,000 nine-litre cases. Value increased 68% to 15.6 million.
The number one brand in the UK is still JP Chenet with Piat d'Or in second place.
