Adnams opens sixth store

Brewers-to-retailer Adnams has opened its latest Cellar & Kitchen shop in Saffron Waldon, Essex.
The new store is the first in the mini-chain to include a caf, plus bar serving locally-sourced food.
According to retail director Rupert Farquharson: "The key to our success is the premium locations of our stores, where there is a core base of local trade, supplemented by tourist visitors.
The store was launched on October 26, and is open 10am-6pm Monday to Saturday, and Sunday from 11am-4pm.
The Suffolk based company is on a rapid expansion of this format, as reported in Harpers on 28/9/07. Up to 30 are planned over the next few years, with 14 by the end of 2009.
