According to a new survey, 18-24 year olds and people living in Northern England are the most likely groups in the UK to change or consider changing their drinking habits
59% of visitors to the Drinkaware Trust's website agreed they would consider changing their drinking habits as a result of visiting the responsible drinking charity's site.
65% of 18 to 25 year olds said they would change or consider changing their drinking habits making them nearly twice as likely to do so as those aged 66 or over.
People living in the north of England, closely followed by those in Northern Ireland and Scotland are the most likely to reconsider their drinking habits while people living in Wales are the least likely to make changes.
Jean Collingwood, Chief Executive of The Drinkaware Trust said: "We are very encouraged by the positive results to date of this survey."
She added: "We also recognise that there is always room for improvement. We have listened to users' views and suggestions and going forward we will be developing drinkaware.co.uk further to include a range of new additions and features."
These will include a dedicated micro site for the under eighteens, educational, interactive games, a greater range of branded drinks in the unit calculator to reflect different tastes and health based evidence, facts and figures to help consumers make better choices.
