WaverleyTBS goes back home after Buncefield explosion

Published:  23 July, 2008

WaverleyTBS has moved back to Punchbowl Park next door to the ill-fated Buncefield Fuel Depot that exploded in December 2005.

The independent drinks wholesaler said stocks will start to return to the depot from 16 July and the warehouse and distribution will be complete and live by 13 August.

WaverleyTBS operations director Bob Wrigglesworth said: "We have been able to replace our old, damaged equipment with new, including racking, forklifts and a fast alley in the warehouse.

"Similarly, the offices have new furniture and dcor and the building boosts a smart new sign with the WaverleyTBS corporate identity.

"It will be good to be back and finally draw the line under the whole episode."

WaverleyTBS were obliged to return to Punchbowl Park under the terms of their lease, which runs to 2017 and have been temporarily displaced to G-Park, a few miles away.
