Associations merge to support distance selling

The International Wine Clubs Association (IWCA) and the UK Wine & Spirit Trade Association (WSTA) have announced a new partnership that will oversee the distance selling industry worldwide.

The IWCA, which supports distance selling traders across the world, will move its offices From Watford, Hertfordshire, England, closer to the WSTA offices in the International Wine & Spirits Centre in London, when the partnership comes into effect in September.

The IWCA currently has 39 members in five continents.

Barry Sutton, IWCA chief executive will retire. Karen Gerrard, IWCA chief executive, will take-over his duties.

Sutton said: "As a founder of the IWCA and having been, in effect, its chief executive for the last 10 years, I am delighted that we have found such a good solution to ensure continued success going forward."
