Rodet acquires producer

Burgundy wine group Antonin Rodet has bought Maison Dufouleur Pre et Fils, which is based in Nuits-Saint-Georges.
The acquisition covers both the wine brokerage business and the 10.5ha Domaine Barbier Estate.
Antonin Rodet chairman Philippe Vidal said: This strategic acquisition is a major development in the history of Antonin Rodet, and marks our return to the leading group of Burgundy wine houses.'
Burgundy wine estate Le Clos de Thorey Monopole, a 3ha 1er Cru estate, also in Nuits-Saint-Georges, has joined the Domaines Antonin Rodet family. Rodet will start selling the 2006 vintage next year.
