Calvet sold to owner of JP Chenet

Bordeaux negoiant house Calvet has been sold to Les Grands Chais de France, which owns the JP Chenet brand.
Majority shareholders, Cognac-based H Mounier, has sold Calvet for an undisclosed sum to the Alsace-based company.
It is not clear whether any redundancies will be made,
but Les Grands Chais' UK director, Tim North, told
Harpers: As I understand it, everybody will be given the chance to stay.'
He added that it was too early to say what the future held for Calvet.
