SITT Spring unveils masterclass topics

The leading tasting event for independent drinks suppliers, SITT – which is due to return this Spring – has revealed the topics for two of its masterclasses.

The first – taking place exclusively in London from 11:30-12:12 – is called “Châteauneuf-du-Pape: Myth Busting”, during which Rhône expert Matt Walls will guide attendees through current styles and how to make the most of the titular appellation.

The class will also involve a tasting, in which a selection of wines drawn from several estates, including Domaine 3 Cellier, Domaine Giraud, Domaine Barroche, Domaine Père de l'Église and Domaine Clef de St Thomas, will be presented.

The second – taking place in both Manchester and London from 2:30-3:15 – which is named “Masterclass: Rodney Strong Vineyards – A Sonoma Benchmark”, explores the wines of this benchmark Californian producer, which is imported and distributed by Cellars Wines.

Now in its 21st year, SITT has earned a reputation for offering a focused and professional environment for both tasting and business development, with exhibitors ranging from well-known names to interesting new importers.

The event brings together specialist importers, retailers and industry professionals all under one roof, showcasing a curated selection of premium wines and spirits and giving attendees a chance to network.

This year, SITT Spring will take place at etc.venues in Manchester on 23 February and at Lindley Hall in London on 25 February.

Two masterclasses will be held in both Manchester and London, each with limited spaces.
