ZGM and D&D split

Published:  23 July, 2008

ZGM and D&D Wines have agreed to end their working relationship after a 25-year partnership.

From this week all ZGM-related matters will be handled by the company's new UK office, headed by UK sales director Steve Howard and UK marketing manager Lisa Durose.

According to a spokesman: This decision has been made amicably, and is a reflection of the growth and ambition of both companies in the UK market.'

ZGM's managing director John Hbinge, said: A quality-based philosophy backed by highly effective sales and marketing have been the fundamental reasons for ZGM's success in the German market, where sales have grown by 117% in the past three years. We intend to replicate this success in the UK market with a portfolio of branded wines, both Old and New World... and have strong growth targets of plus-50% sales increase over the next three years.'
