CHILEAN WINE TASTING

Published:  23 July, 2008

Sales of Chilean wines are up 26%, with exports to the UK hitting 46.7 million litres. Chile now commands 6.3% of the UK light wine sector, with particular growth in the on-trade. The Wines of Chile annual tasting takes place on 4-5 September at the Royal Horticultural Halls, near London's Victoria Station. Sixty-six wineries will show their latest releases and new vintages. There will also be two special tables: one featuring Chile's own grape variety, Carmenre, and the "Wines of Special Interest" table.
