Lanchester expands regional sales team

Published:  09 April, 2019

Lanchester Wines has bolstered its growing sales team with two new hires in the north and south west.

James Dainty and Hannah Fennelly have joined the Durham-based merchant and importer in two newly created roles.

Based in Yorkshire, business manager Dainty will focus on driving sales across Lanchester’s premium regional wholesale customers and specialist independents, while sourcing new business.

He joins the business from Hallgarten & Novum Wines and has extensive experience across the premium wine trade both in the Yorkshire region and nationally.

Fennelly meanwhile will focus on the south west.

In her role as regional business manager, she will work closely with Steve Machin who joined Lanchester in May 2018 as senior business manager for the south.

She has six years at Majestic under her belt, before going on to manage a small chain of independent wine stores.

Director of sales, Mark Roberts said: “Over the last five years we’ve strategically reviewed, reassessed and reformed both our sales team structure and our business as a whole. Our focus has been the on-going premiumisation of our business through both the wines we buy and the people we employ. Both Hannah and James are the next step in our evolution and we’re very much looking forward to working with them.”
