Wine Intelligence announces first annual Leading Thinkers' Seminar

Published:  23 July, 2008

Wine Intelligence, the leading research organisation specifically for the wine sector, is launching its first Leading Thinkers' Seminar, which will take place on Thursday 24 November at the Great Eastern Hotel in London.

The subject of the half-day seminar is Putting market insight at the centre of a wine brand's business strategy'.

It is designed to meet the needs of business leaders who are dealing with changing market dynamics and - in some cases - fighting to establish a culture of market orientation in a traditionally product-oriented industry.

Attendees will receive new, original research about the UK market and will have opportunities to contribute and debate key issues affecting the wine industry. There will also be a session designed to expose some of the marketing myths' in wine and a wrap-up session looking at how market insight can be used - and misused - in building brands.

WI says that the majority of the 30 places available already booked by business leaders from within the UK and from major wine-producing countries.

Lulie Halstead, WI research director, said: Far too often conferences in our industry are long on hot air and short on actionable insights that actually add value to a business. We can do better.'
