Chapel Down has added three European red wines to its portfolio as part of its Great Minds Drink Alike initiative.
The trio has been individually curated by Chapel Down’s head winemaker Josh Donaghay-Spire and marked with the Great Minds seal of approval.
Available online now, the limited editions from France, Spain and Italy comprise Syrah by Domaine Gayda (rrp: £13), Crianza by De Bardos (rrp: £15) and Sass’alSole by Tenuta Tondaia (rrp: £15), with each of the new additions made by producers that share similar ethos to Chapel Down - respect for the land and a willingness to push boundaries, said Chapel Down.
“We’re forever curious to work with other leading wineries around the world. To share, to learn and to forge deep friendships over a glass or two of wine. And for a long time we’ve wanted to share our discoveries with the growing congregation at Chapel Down,” said managing director Mark Harvey, adding Donaghay-Spire was frequently asked for recommendations on interesting wines from beyond Chapel Down’s shores.
“These three reds are from friends across Europe, each of whom are producers who share our curiosity to discover the new, the bold and the interesting. And ultimately, to create deliciously drinkable wines for us all to enjoy,” he said.
The launch marks the second year of The Great Minds Drink Alike campaign.
