Roberson Wine has appointed Françoise Mathis to the position of head of trade – a newly created role.
In her new role Mathis, who joins from Boutinot Wine where she was account manager, will be responsible for driving the business across the on and off-trade sectors and to develop routes to market across the UK.
With more than 14 years of experience as a key account manager, Mathis brought a wealth of experience with her, said MD Talya Roberson.
“Francoise is a charismatic and knowledgeable professional who is a recognised member of the on-trade and I am confident that together we will achieve great things,” she said.
Last week, Roberson Wine was awarded the IWC International Specialist Retailer of the Year for the sixth year running as well as scooping the Highly Commended Online Retailer award.
Mathis said: “For years I have admired Roberson’s outstanding portfolio. They are daring and innovative and were the first to launch an urban winery in the UK, London Cru. With the current market seeing some profound consumer changes - towards a more qualitative offer, I have no doubt that there are exciting prospects for Roberson Wine and I can’t wait to be part of it.”
She joins the business in September.
