Gusbourne Estate has created a marketing manager role to support its next stage of development.
The Kent-based winery has appointed Lisa McGovern, previously with Walker & Woodhouse, to the newly created role, which will include taking on responsibility of brand development alongside trade and consumer PR.
Taking on her new position with immediate effect, McGovern reports directly to CEO Charlie Holland.
Gusbourne was delighted to welcome McGovern as the business entered “the next stage of its development”, said Holland, adding she brought experience and knowledge from a range of industry appointments spanning over 20 years.
“As English wine sales gain increasing momentum both at home and in international markets, building and reshaping our team to maximise this exciting growth curve is key to our future success,” he said.
In addition, the Gusbourne sales team has been restructured, promoting Neil Irvine to head of UK sales, while Danny Cameron will lead international sales and export expansion.
Since their first release in 2010, Gusbourne has developed a strong footprint in the UK on-trade and independent sector, together with a presence in 16 export markets, with USA and Japan their leading markets.
