Two new Laithwaites buyers

Mail-order giant Laithwaites has appointed two new buyers.
Rebecca Palmer will take up the responsibility for buying wines from Chile, Chablis, Beaujolais and Portugal. For the past three years, she has been working as a PR and marketing consultant for companies such as Stranger and Stranger, HwCg and Lay & Wheeler. She speaks French, Spanish, Italian and German.
Samantha Caporn joins as buyer for Central and Eastern Europe and will also assist senior buyer Thomas Woolrych to source wines from Australia and New Zealand.
She previously worked as tastings co-ordinator at consumer magazine Wine International, where she has been for the past four years.
The two appointments bring the buying team up to to six.
