BrewDog is continuing its craft beer crusade with the launch of its latest bar in Oxford.
The Scottish craft brewer will be bringing its concept to Cowley Road in the historical city which will feature 15 draft lines and also a range of bottled beers from around the world to take away or drink on-site.
Finding the location proved difficult, the brewers said.
In the end, the spot was found with the help of its equity investors, dubbed 'punks', who drew their attention to Crowley Road’s availability.
To mark the launch, BrewDog is organising an afternoon of ‘punking’ this Saturday - its take on punting.
Guests will participate in a 30 minute beer schools’ on board one of Oxford’s famous punts, where they will learn about the beer brewing process.
A bar in Oxford had long been in the pipeline for BrewDog, said co-founder James Watt: “Oxford’s craft beer scene has been growing steadily in recent years and we’re proud to join forces with other brewers standing up for innovation, imagination and taking risks.”
BrewDog’s ‘punking’ event will take place on Saturday, September 30, 12-2pm, from Cherwell Boathouse, Oxford.
