Hennessy goes to work

Published:  23 July, 2008

Hennessy Cognac is launching a series of workshops, or 'Friday Tonics', in key institutions around London in an effort to educate new consumers about Cognac.

On the last Friday of each month from 4pm, the company will set up a mobile bar on the premises of selected companies, including law firms, advertising agencies, magazine and newspapers houses, banks, TV stations, and male grooming salons.

Among the features will be consumer forums, which will include a brief talk by a leading bartender on the history of Cognac, followed by a tasting of the Hennessy portfolio and lessons in how to make Cognac cocktails, with audience members invited behind the bar to create their own.

Alex Field, PR manager for Hennessy said: We have found that, when people are presented with the story of Cognac, and when they are taken through a relaxed interactive tasting in their own environment - using cocktails, and other simple new ways of drinking cognac - they discover a whole new drinking experience.'
