After years of silence, Islay's Bruichladdich Distillery will once again recommence distilling at 10am, Tuesday the 29th May. A live video web link, operational from 26th May, will allow viewers to witness the barley being milled, the mash tun from 1881 grinding into action, the washbacks bubbling away, the old boilers being fired up and the first new spirit coming off the stills. There will be a dedicated button on the website to download the video software (if required) and another to connect with James McEwan, Duncan McGillvray (distillery manager) and other members of the distilling team for text chat and video chat. Video clips will also be able to be downloaded from the site and the company will have a permanent ICQ number (text & voice chat online). For information about how to participate in this event go to the Diary and Latest News sections of the Bruichladdich web site from Tuesday 15th May. This can be found at www.bruichladdich.com For further technical details contact Michael Thomson of Gribloch Design ltd: michael@gribloch.com or Mark Reynier 07768 018 785 or 0207 584 9855
