Published:  23 July, 2008

Fine wine merchant Lay & Wheeler has moved its agency portfolio into a new company, Select Vineyards Agency Company.

The new company, which will be based at Lay & Wheeler's existing premises at Holton Park in Suffolk, will have a dedicated team of three: Nick Adams MW (sales), Andrew Higgs (sales) and Ben Cameron (marketing).

According to Cameron, the formation of the company 'follows a detailed internal review, where the key agencies and principal partners were confirmed. The new company offers enhanced focus and industry-leading services'.

Producers in the portfolio include: Henschke (Australia); Lawson's Dry Hills (New Zealand); Clayvin Vineyard (New Zealand); Alta Vista (Argentina); Vignobles Brunier (Rhne); Olivier Leflaive (Burgundy); and Gobillard (Champagne).

Wines from Chile, California, the Languedoc and the Loire

are also included.
