New boss at Bacardi

Bacardi has appointed a new CEO and president, Andreas Gembler, effective from 1 June.
The 62-year-old has served on Bacardi's board of directors since June 2003. Ruben Rodriguez, the company's chairman of the board, said: Andreas is a highly accomplished global business executive with a wealth of experience. In the two years he has served on Bacardi's board he has contributed significantly to the success of the company while bringing continuous leadership.'
Gembler served as president and CEO of Philip Morris International until 1999.
