Wine Academy expands

The European Wine Academy, which has bases in Belgium and the UK, is expanding to feature courses in German, Dutch and French.
The decision was taken after a successful two-year trial run of e-learning' (distance learning), and academy president Frank Smulders MW says that students have the freedom to specialise in areas such as South Africa, vinification, or job-specific roles such as sommelier.
The academy also has sister operations in South Africa, with a New World Wine Academy soon to be on-line.
