Uruguayan winery Bodega Garzón plans to launch its new Colinas de Uruguay brand at this year's Emerging Regions Tasting.
The range has been specifically developed for the UK off trade and comes in three varietals: Tannat 2013, Albariño 2014 and Sauvignon Blanc 2014.
All three varietals will retail at £9.99 and will be distributed in the UK by Bibendum PLB.
The tasting will be held on 2 September 2015 at The Leadenhall Building in London.
Bodega Garzón is owned by Blends Wine Estates, which also owns other premium wine brands such as Bodegas Vistalba and Argento from Argentina, Renwood Winery in California, Italy's Dievole, and Château Suau in France.
Bodega Garzón is located in the Maldonado region at a similar altitude to some of the world's great vineyards. Colinas de Uruguay takes its name from the hills on which the vines grow.
Winemaker Alberto Antonini said: "The gentle slopes of the region provide excellent drainage and rich minerals for the vine roots to absorb, and allow us to divide the vineyards into distinct parcels where specific viticultural techniques can take place tailored to each grape variety and to the unique terroir and microclimate of each individual plot."
Uruguayan wines are increasingly successful in the UK. Gustavo Crespo, UK managing director at Blends Wine Estates, commented: "Uruguay is definitely a country to watch in the UK. Sales are up by 300% over the last four years.
"The launch of Colinas de Uruguay, which has been developed specifically for the retail trade in the UK market, coincides with this growth and interest."
Bodega Garzón will be the only Uruguayan producer present at the Emerging Regions Tasting.
