The Harrow at Little Bedwyn after 16 years has hired Marcin Oziebly to be the dedicated sommelier as well as the general manager for the Michelin Star restaurant.
Roger and Sue Jones founded the award winning establishment 16 years ago and have been responsible for its award winning wine list since opening.
"We are delighted to welcome Marcin to The Harrow to share our passion for wine and even further improve our commitment to offering one of the best selections of aged New World Wines in the UK," said Sue Jones.
Oziebly was previously the head sommelier at Launceston Place and is currently studying for his Master Sommelier exams.
Roger Jones, who contributes to several wine journals including harpers.co.uk said: "Over the years Sue and I have amassed a lovely cellar of wine many of which have aged gracefully, rare verticals of Clos St Hune, Vina Tondonia, Vintage Krug, and I am looking forward to seeing Marcin get his hands on these wines and share them with our customers."
Roger Jones will be taking time to focus more on his further expanding food and wine consultancy business. He said: "It will also give me more time to concentrate on cooking and developing my food and wine matching with regional bodies."
Jones' consultancy worked as part of the Australia Day Tasting earlier this year providing small canapés size bites paired with wines. There were four dishes that were paired with different wines at the tasting that attendees could try including a crab and avocado salad that was paired with a Gatt High Eden Riesling from Eden Valley and a seared Northumberland venison with lentils paired with Ten Minutes by Tractor Estate Pinto Noir.
Jones also worked with Tourism Australia late last year on the 'Restaurant Australia' campaign.
