Spar launches its fifth annual nationwide wine festival

Spar is to run its annual Wine Festival between March 20 and May 7 which will look to showcase its range of award-winning wines that start from just £4.

It is the fifth year the convenience store chain has run its festival and this year it will include 80 special deals and promotions across the Spar branded and exclusive wine ranges. The deals have been specifically placed at round pound deals (£4, £5, £6 etc) to appeal more to consumers.

The festival will be promoted through a national television campaign during April featuring key lines such as Solà, Perlezza and Modesta. It will also be highlighted through social media and Spar's own Facebook, Twitter and website as well as Spar Live radio in-store.

Chris Lewis, Spar's UK licensed trading director, said: "By offering round pound price points, our retailers can show customers the great value they provide, while highlighting our extensive, award-winning range."

The round pound deals include at £4 Solà red, white and rosé (down from £6) and Modesta Viura (down from £7), at £5 Terra Ricca Garganega and Sangiovese (down from £7.50) and at £6 Perlezza Prosecco (down from £9).
